Watertown High boys' basketball team advances with 58-46 victory over Lynnfield; Raiders to play for sectional final Saturday night

Vondre Chase and the Watertown High boys' basketball team are pointed toward the MIAA Division 3 North sectional final with their 58-46 victory over Lynnfield on Wednesday night, March 8, 2017, in Wilmington. With the victory, the top-seeded Raiders (20-2) will play sixth-seeded Bedford (17-6) on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Burlington High for the right to play in the state semifinals at TD Garden.

The Watertown High School boys’ basketball team advanced in the Division 3 North sectional with 58-46 victory over Lynnfield on Wednesday night, March 8, 2017, in Wilmington.

With the victory, the top-seeded Raiders (20-2) will play sixth-seeded Bedford (17-6) on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Burlington High. The winner of that game will earn the MIAA Division 3 North sectional title and a game against the South champ at TD Garden in the state semifinals.
