Hoops for Hope basketball game to feature students, teachers, and a most worthy cause

Suicide Prevention group at Watertown High to hold event in gym on Friday, May 13

Hoops for Hope will be held on Friday, May 13, at the Watertown High gym. Hoops for Hope will be a Student vs. Teacher basketball game, with all proceeds raised going toward the Suicide Prevention funding group.

Doors will open at 5 p.m., and the game will start at 6 p.m.

Hoops for Hope is the major fund-raiser for the Suicide Prevention funding group. This small, dedicated group of students want to help empower the school and the community to prevent suicide.  All monies raised will go toward programming used at the high school level to educate on suicide.

The game will feature students, teachers, and members of the Watertown Fire Department. The game will be refereed by Chief of Police Michael Lawn.

Tickets are $5 in advance and $7 at the door. There will be food, refreshments and live music.
