Watertown High School split a rare home MIAA postseason home doubleheader Wednesday, March 1, 2023, with the boys’ hockey team beating Southeastern RVT, 3-2, in double overtime, and the boys’ basketball team losing to Rockland, 50-42. Jack Dickie was the hero for the hockey team, scoring his second goal of the night in the second overtime to put away No. 28 Southeastern RVT (11-9-1). The No. 5 Raiders (12-6-3) will once again play at John A. Ryan Arena in the Sweet 16 on Saturday (6:30 p.m.). Watertown will play the winner of Thursday’s game between No. 12 Dracut (15-4-1) and No. 21. North Quincy (5-14-1).

The WHS boys’ basketball team, seeded No. 32, ended the season 8-13, while No. 33 Rockland (13-8) advanced to play top-seeded Archbishop Williams (19-1) on Friday.
The WHS girls’ basketball team will play its tourney opener Friday, also at home, as the No. 14 Raiders (10-9) will host No. 19 Oakmont Regional (12-8) at 7 p.m.
