Jason Hughes won a state championship with the Watertown High hockey team last winter, but he will be playing lacrosse in college.

Hughes, an attackman for the Raiders, decided to play next year at Assumption College in Worcester. On Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015, he made it official at a signing ceremony in the Watertown High gym.

“I thought [Assumption] provided me a great opportunity from a lacrosse standpoint and an academic standpoint,” he said.
