One day a married man asked his wife to bury him with all his money, so this is what she did. This man had worked hard all his life. He slept at work due to the pressure. He was a real miser. He loved money more than anything in this world. So just before he died he told his wife, “Now listen, when I die, I want you to take all my money and place it in the casket with me, so I can take it all to the afterlife.

So his wife had to promise that she would do as he asked, and she did indeed.

When he died, he was stretched out in the casket. The wife was sitting in black next to their mutual best friend. When they finished the ceremony just before the undertakers got ready to close the casket, the wife said “Hollup! Wait a minute!”

She had a shoebox with her and went over to the casket with it. She placed it in the casket, and then the undertakers locked the casket and rolled it away.

Her friend said, “I hope you aren’t crazy enough to put all that money in there with that stingy old man.” She replied, “Yes, I promised. I am a good Christian; I can’t lie. I promised him that I was going to put that money in the casket.

Her friend asked, “You mean to tell me you put every cent of his money in that casket with him?”

“I sure did. I got it all together, put it into my account, and I wrote him a check.”
