Are you a romantic comedy film fanatic? “Midnight Sun” takes this movie category to another level!

“Midnight Sun” is a great romantic comedy that gives the audience the opportunity to experience all the emotions, from laughing over the protagonist’s protective father to crying over a particularly sad scene. The movie is great. Although it targets the teen audience, the movie can be for people of all ages.

The story revolves around Katie Price (Bella Thorne) and Charlie (Patrick Schwarzenegger), a couple that have to face the hard side of life in a very short time.

Katie has a disease that prevents her from going outside during the day because she could die if the sun’s rays touches her skin. So she would remain indoors during the day throughout the years and only go outside at night to play her guitar at a train station to share the songs she would write.

While growing up Katie would stand beside her window and admire a boy, Charlie, who would pass by everyday, and she developed a crush on Charlie. When the two meet, he also falls in love with her, which begins their story, but he remains in the dark about her disease.

The film does a great job in keeping the audience entertained without a moment of boredom throughout the whole screening. It can be compared with movies made from Nicholas Sparks’s books, particularly “A Walk to Remember.”

Although this is only a personal opinion, it is safe to say that there is nothing the movie did wrong, but that is only one opinion. I’d give this movie a 10 out of 10 for a romance movie.
