Watertown High girls’ hockey ready for postseason tournament

The 24th-seeded Raiders will travel to Canton on Thursday, March 3, for a first-round playoff game at 6 p.m.

The Watertown High School girls’ hockey team had a successful regular season, winning the Middlesex League Freedom Division, and will next play a first-round MIAA tournament game on Thursday, March 3.

The Raiders finished 15-5 and were seeded 24th in Division 2, based on power rankings. They will travel to ninth-seeded Canton (14-6) for a game at Metropolis Rink, with puck drop at 6 p.m.

The Raiders finished the season winning six of their last seven games, including a 6-0 victory over Melrose at John A. Ryan Arena on Feb. 2.
