Four teams, two rival towns, one great night for local soccer

A high school soccer doubleheader featuring the boys’ and girls’ soccer teams from Watertown and Belmont make Soccer Night in Belmont one to remember

Watertown’s Rob Iannetta scored on a penalty kick as the Watertown High School boys’ soccer team defeated host Belmont to cap a memorable Soccer Night in Belmont doubleheader on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022.

The boys’ game ended  scoreless, with visiting Watertown winning on penalty kicks, 3-2.

In the first game, the Belmont girls’ team won, 4-1.

To start the day, area youth soccer players of all ages took part in pregame festivities on the field.
