Death Isn’t Mean, He Just Wants Candy

It was October 31st, Halloween night

And in the air you could feel the fright.

Kids were trick or treating,

The party music was beating,

And one spirit known as death

Walked over to a door and took a deep breath.

He just wanted some trick or treat candy,

But he might have been just too scary.

His scythe was big and pointy,

And his robe was dark and airy.

His eyes had a mysterious red glow,

And if you ever saw him you would know,

He treats those stuck on death’s row.

And although he didn’t belong,

He had been starving much too long,

So he moved his dark and ominous scythe

And knocked on the door in deep fright.

A woman went and opened the door,

But he wasn’t hungry anymore.
