Dandelion
November 21, 2021
Dandelion,
Are you lost
In fields of too-much green
And all the colors in between Where your shock of yellow burns bright, But not bright enough?
Dandelion,
Can you find me?
A leaf of your own greenery, Blended in with hostile spikes
Of bladed grass and sticks and stones And broken bones
And lost artifacts in the sea of green.
Dandelion,
Will you finally find yourself, Falling from a garden shelf,
A bowl of water tipped, Your now-white petals torn apart But it doesn’t hurt
To drift away in many pieces.
