As we launch into the holidays and celebrate our families, Watertown High School has decided to celebrate the individual talents of its students.
The Talent Show will take place Tuesday, Nov. 22, at 7 p.m. in the WHS auditorium. This year’s Talent Show was swamped with a variety of musical talents, each just as impressive as the last. Tickets will be available for $7 at the door with proceeds to benefit the Class of 2017.

Auditions were held on Nov. 3 and Nov. 7 to help showcase every participating student. Auditions can be slightly nerve-wracking, to say the least.
The auditions on Nov. 7 were overseen by WHS teacher Tina Taylor, and hopefuls included sophomore Ashley Mawanda, sophomore Millena Szytko, junior Yaiza Andujar, and freshmen Olivia Dekoster and Vera Doob. All five were musically gifted and performed songs that ranged from “Born to Die” by Lana del Rey to “Riptide” by Vance Joy.

Millena, who auditioned with “Crush” by Yuna, said, “I felt nervous, but not too nervous. I was excited to show my song and my talent.”
To see these acts and many more, come to the WHS Talent Show!
