James Piccirilli, Emily Koufos stand out at the 2016 MIAA all-state cross-country meet

Two members of the Watertown High School cross-country team excelled at the 2016 MIAA Division 2 state championships on Nov. 19, 2016, in Gardner.
Raiders junior Emily Koufos finished 12th (out of 172 runners) in girls’ all-state race. She finished the 5K course in 19 minutes 48 seconds.
Later, in Division 2 boys’ all-state race, Raiders senior James Piccirilli finished eighth (out of 174 runners) with a time of 16:51.
